Movement of ....Fluids? !? Yes, that's right I have decided to change my theme slightly....

I was working with fluids a lot in order to describe the movement of  time. These experimentation's have made me interested in studying the movement of fluids further for the remaining weeks before the assessment! Here are some photos of my first experiment........

You will need.... a glass of water, oil, water-colour paint and a spoon...

I mixed the oil with the paint and used a syringe to drop the mixture into the water....

At first the water didn't mix full with the water.... I kept trying and it started turning into small beads as it fell into the water, I will post the video once I have tried to edit it.

Video of the blob experiment :P

New Dripping Blobs Experimentation

I made a mixture of water, flour and water colour paint. I poured this fluid into two separate bags. I suspended these bags above a white cotton material, made a small hole in the bags and recorded the fluid flowing onto the material.

The set up.......

And the result......

Julie Tremblay "Poetic Figures"

-Floating Figures raised questions upon space, mortality, body perception, power & sensibility.
-Contain a mythical sense

-The sculptures transparency and the way it reflects the light make the figures to appear moving
-Transmits a sense of loneliness.

Louise Bourgeois
-French American Artist and sculptor
In late 1940s she became interested in sculpting.
Although she worked in an abstract way her work resembled figures.
Themes such as betrayal, anxiety and loneliness, which was inspiration that stemed from a childhood trauma, her fathers betrayal to her mother.

More CONES

Drawing onto tracing paper using pen.

My Studio Space!! Large pencil drawing, tea bag experiment, cones made from brown paper and dipped into wax, I will use these for my next 3D piece!

Sketchbook, idea development

Experimentation with different material, developing new ideas.

Used a tea bag in the same way as I used my body clock model. Experimented in my sketchbook.

Focusing on the fluids dripping out of the cones. First model was made with salt, so I thought testing effects of different fluids would be interesting.

Life Size Figure

I Began making a full size figure using thick wire, chicken wire and many magazines.

I am now in the process of using leaves and PVA glue in order to cover the figure.

Once I complete this sculpture I will introduce it into the 3D human world to show the different people moving though the city.
